Annie has created a unique and powerful brand in V Magazine for Women - I call it the magazine for the thinking woman of central Virginia. The content of each month's issue is fresh and engaging, with great stories about women from all walks of life. I learn something new every month. Annie's also fiercely loyal to her advertisers, and is always looking for new ways to deliver additional value to the supporters of V Magazine. The magazine is a great example of what 'local media' can be, at its very best.

Let me say how impressed I was with Ms. Tobey’s editing; her efforts elevated the quality of the story considerably. The story has been trimmed substantially, with several pages and sentences deleted, tightening up the narrative.

Annie has worked for me as a professional writer and researcher for various philosophical and technical projects. Annie's work was known to me before I knew Annie. Her skills produced excellent resources on timeless subjects. Her keen insight into issues women face have developed a wide readership and a popular forum to highlight strong local women and their accomplishments. Only recently did I find Pleasant Living Magazine [where Annie served as associate editor], a charming portrayal of the laid-back Chesapeake Bay lifestyle. Travel Writer

Annie was one of the editors who participated in my media familiarization tour to Loudoun County a couple of years ago. We got on immediately and Annie was an integral part of the success of the tour. On her return to Richmond, Annie wrote a multi-page online article about the culinary treasures of Loudoun County with wonderful photography, followed by a multi-page print article in V Magazine for Women. We have stayed in contact ever since. Annie is an absolute delight to work with, an ultimate professional and great writer. I highly recommend her work and look forward to working with her on a feature again.

Annie was brought in to provide a motivational/educational talk to about 100 very high energy professional women at a Network of Enterprising Women luncheon this month.
